Oh hey I haven't posted here in a while but I haven't exactly drawn anything for the past few months so I'll just post my attacks(artworks) made for Artfight this July :3 For some miraculous reason I somehow managed to pump out a whopping 60 attacks for my first year on Artfight this season and I couldn't be more proud of myself(despite not meeting my unrealistic goal of 150 attacks) Here's my first 30 attacks! i really like melonteee video about him, if you have the time, you should totally watch it!

very strong, very determined, sometimes silly stupid, and very straightforward, nods nods best himbo ✨️

i've been watching one piece sincee... i wanna say 2014, i quickly catch up to releasing episodes, and was religiously watching every week. around wholecake island i got very inpatient with filler episodes, so i started reading manga.

i remember i had one piece oc that joined straw hat crew and was in love with zoro 🩷 ofcourse. hehe, her whole joke that she had no boobs in one piece world where every girl has big big bazongaz...

uh, but i need to talk about zoro and my designs!!

anyways, dunno why, really, but i really liked zoro, and i started brainstorming this whole nu isekai thing he was one of my top picks for the crew >:3c

really proud of Rare outfit i drew for him, it looks very cool, teehee! i like layered crop-tops for zoro. omg, points, he's basically shirtless all the time!

zoro has a green gem in his left ear. *points and jumps* yes-yes one of his iconic earrings contains his gem!

his conterpart is quincy, which i think is fitting, both buff and strong, both humans.

they found each other by accident in port, both wondering about longing for the sea. they bonded over their similar experiences and mutual love of boose.

like i mentioned in post about julian, zoro met with him in water territory.

zoro and julian traveled on ships to different adventures. some were uneventful, some more exciting. after roughly a year, both men returned to klein kingdom, settling in water territory.

renting a simple apartment. they formed a tight bond, sometimes they flirt with each other, and they can share bed a few times, but they don't consider themselfs lovers or a couple, friends with benefits if you will!

i imagine zoro would find some great swords in nu: cafnival world in his travels, drawn to them by their legendary power (or something like that). yeah, it's no kuina's wado or cursed sandai kitetsu, but it's not the same life or story, so it would be fitting for him to find new blades filled with new meanings and powers.

Oh this is something I'm awfully excited to ask you but I keep on forgetting!! But anyway, if you'll create an alien race based on bugs in dragon ball how would you go about it? Like what would be the most important detail do you think they should have? (I want to ask you about specifics of that race too but I don't want to pressure you on answering since I'm sure that would be long. Just an idea of what an alien bug race can be would be awesome!)

THIS IS SUCH A GREAT QUESTION..... because it makes me think so hard i can't think of anything conclusively :') first up is- would this insect race be one species? one family? one order? or just a mix of all different kinds? there's literally around a million insect species and almost 30 orders that are INCREDIBLY diverse in form. i don't want to paste every single example here but here's just the silhouettes to give you an idea!!

but also i could just. make up a new bug entirely?? 😳 like just smash together my favorite characteristics from across the insect world... what sounds good to me atm is cool wings (i like plain membranous more than the scaly wings of butterflies/moths, you can get cool patterns with them too), the general horse shape of a mantis/snakefly and sound producing organs (insects make noises in different ways! crickets stridulate by rubbing their wings together, cicadas expand/contract their tymbals, hissing roaches compress air through their spiracles). i like the idea of insects singing to communicate, it's pretty much only to attract mates or scare predators but i think it's a generally romantic idea :'3 i also think it's cool to consider aspects of physiology, like insects have an open circulatory system (their organs are bathed in hemolymph instead of supplied by vessels), they have a more decentralized nervous system (can still get around despite lots of their body missing), they can overwinter, among other things. oh i think i'd also like them to be holometabolous (larva>pupa>adult rather than a nymph that gradually sheds into its adult form) because i want to see proud parents holding their cute little worm babies :3c

in terms of dragon ball i can say what i won't do- toriyama i'm making a callout post on tumblr dot com- there are insects other than cicadas (although i LOVE cicadas) but i am tired of these things

it is a real structure found among the true bugs (order hemiptera, includes aphids, leafhoppers, cicadas, etc.) called a cibarium which basically houses the big muscles the herbivorous members use to suck up plant juices. SUCK, you say?? yeah these things don't have chewing mouthparts so shut your weird beak mouth, cell. you're supposed to be sucking up people with that instead. their mouths have been modified into straw things called a rostrum which you can barely see under the cibarium of that cicada. if i had to make an alien race based off these kinds of bugs, their mouths would remain rostra and i'd definitely have them communicate through sound production only. that would be hella cool.

(also while we're on the cell callout train, cell's wings are based off the shell of a beetle which are technically called elytra but THERE'S ALSO SUPPOSED TO BE MEMBRANOUS NORMAL WINGS UNDERNEATH! insects typically have two pairs of wings and the shell of a beetle is just the hardened first pair.)

YESYESYES I certainly do!! (pat pat) this will be a little messy I'm afraid but I will try to make it as coherent as possible I just love rambling about headcanons eheh (ALSO, I'm so sorry for the late reply my exams aren't letting me catch a break AAAAAA)

-Shidou notices the signs of extreme neglect & emotional abuse in haruka's behavior IMMEDIATELY (cause Yaknow. being a doctor he must have at least some understanding of psychology ) and he gets so so protective of him, especially because haruka somewhat resembles one of shidou's kids. He tries his best to soothe Haruka's anxious behavior

Like Haruka would accidentally drop something and it breaks, a glass maybe that he was getting for Shidou, and absolutely freaks out like "OH MYGOD IM SO SORRY ILL DO BETTER I SWEAR IM SORRY" and gets super scared that he'll get yelled at or hurt and Shidou is so patient with him, putting a hand on his shoulder and reassuring him that he's not upset, that it's ok to make a mistake and he can help Haruka clean up the shattered glass, no problem.

-Similarly when Haruka is trying to talk to Shidou about something but keeps stuttering, and eventually he gets so anxious about bothering Shidou with his speech struggles that he just goes "uh actually nevermind I'm sorry-" but Shidou quickly stops him from leaving and hes like "No no it's okay, keep going. I'm listening :)"

-Generally he encourages Haruka a lot when he wants to talk but is struggling, feeling anxious, feeling self-conscious. He reassures Haruka that 1. he's not mad at him or bothered by him, in fact he is very happy to listen! and 2. he's very proud of Haruka for trying!!

-He helps Haruka with his anxiety too, he teaches Haruka breathing exercises, he gives safer alternatives to the gripping his palms thing. At first Haruka is too shy to tell Shidou that some of the methods he gave him aren't working, but at one point Shidou tells him that it's ok if he hasn't found the right alternatives yet, it'll take time and not everything works for everyone ,,,.....

-I hc that Haruka has a weak immunity because his mom probably neglected him that much, to the point he didn't have regular doctor visits or checkups. Whenever Haruka gets sick, Shidou stays by his side not just to treat him, but to help him feel less lonely... He asks Haruka about his special interest(s) and listens to him ramble :D (IN FACT I DREW THIS... just a doodle Im not sure if youd like to see it but well here it is... , hehe)

-In my half-joke post milgram AU where all the prisoners kidnap Haruka and Amane from their households and Mikoto quits his job, Shidou drives Haruka (+ Amane, Yuno, Muu depending if any of the four don't want to walk) home from school!!! He asks him how his day went and helps Haruka with homework if he needs to!!

-speaking of homework. Shidou can get a little scary/strict when grading and helping with homework...,,.. but he makes sure to be patient with Haruka and explains anything he didn't understand as gently and clearly as he could. Haruka is still a little intimidated everytime Shidou helps but he appreciates him ehehhe

-when Shidou is reading a book in his free time Haruka approaches him like "what are u readimg... :o" and sits next to him and they read together. and they start to have a little "reading time" from this point onwards (I THINK I SAW ANOTHER HC OF HARUKA AND SHIDOU READING. . If it was yours THANK YOU FOR IT ITS ONE OF MY FAVORITE HCS EVER. Shidou helps Haruka get better at reading cause he gets overwhelmed with like. big blocks of text. and getting into things that aren't related to his special interest. :3c

January - BIG SHOT | I'm gonna go over these and try to remember why I put them in here, so here's the first one. Uhhh, I think I was just really proud of how Spamton Neo came out, 'specially for my first attempt at drawing either form of Spamton seriously, as well as...whatever that technique's called where something in the front (ie. the Fun Gang/Sh-- Squad/Lancer Fan Club here) gets blurred to keep your focus on the Main Subject, that turned out well too c: February - On Wings of Golden Skies | I'm not the best at drawing complex birds, especially big complex birds, so Ho-oh looking as good as they do makes me happy considering my second main-series game was Gold, even if I was more of a Crystal player eventually. That and Bell Tower looks nice too :D March - Wave o' Babies | Oh boy. For something semi-serious made off the back of a dumb method of attacking one of the titular Teen Girl Squad gals, this was fuuuuunnn and cathartic. April - Winter Delight | Had some fun figuring out how to shade snow with my insistence on keeping my brush use more varied now :3 Also, was good practice for drawing black people with more realistic black features, just the lips here as lightened palms are kind of hard to see underneath mittens hehe. May - Frigid Coffin | Ice effects. 'Nuff said. Also Lief is cool, no pun intended c: June - Macaroni and Bees | Love how the honey turned out! Both in this art and in real life! Please try honey in your macaroni, it's Nice, also barbecue sauce but maybe not at the same time until you've figured out whether or not you like both. July - In Pursuit of Power | I'll be honest, I included this one solely because of the art theft fiasco, all to give said thief one last symbolic middle finger >:3c August - I Shall Not Bow | Textless version featured in this review preview, this one was chosen both due to how important the message was to me and also how I was pretty proud of how yahweh's stupid face turned out. September - Overcoming the Odds | Backgrounds, man. I keep improving with backgrounds and this one's a good example in my eyes. October - Team Snakemouth | I just like them okay!! :D November - If only I could hug you back | ...idk, I really don't remember why I picked this one, selfshipping ahoy? XD December - Hazy Figure | Taion best lad. Also, like I said at the start, I just REALLY like how the Mondo look here. Yeah, it's copy-paste of a single piece and motion blur, but it works so well!!

5. is there something they want to be known for? this is such a fun thing to think about!! reides is in a quite a position with this because he like... knew that he was going to be 'known' and has for virtually all of his life, thanks to his status as a laverathian royal. like it just comes along with the bloodline. and, of course, the circumstances surrounding his hatching-day (hehe) during that terrible storm practically thrust a mantle on his shoulders in addition to his princely status. he was a symbol of hope for laverathia whether he liked it or not. and for a loooong time he really resented that and would have preferred to just... drift away into obscurity lol.

but over the course of his journey, that's definitely changed a whole lot... especially after learning that his homeland was in danger and feeling an intrinsic pull back towards it to act as one of its protectors. playing a crucial role in all of that really like... helped him understand where the more duty-oriented members of his family (cough viglis cough) were always coming from. though reides sought to reject his blood for a good while, he's realized how important it is for a whole lot of people. and he's also realized that he's actually very proud of it, too. so if he's going to be known for something - if his story is going to be told in dramatized records or as a little footnote in a history book - he wants to be known for something good. however, he still wants to be himself and earn people's respect rather than, like, exist as an abstract symbol of anything. so he's trying his utmost to honor his duty to laverathia AS WELL AS his duty to his own individuality by trying his utmost to embrace his identity as the storm prince. he wants it to be a title that most people say out of admiration rather than it being based in an insult. yes, chaos has a tendency to follow him; yes, he tends to bring change - but these things can be forces of good, and he wants people to know that!

of course, this also ties into his new role as laverathia's ambassador. he wants to show the surfacers just what the people of the depths are capable of; he wants to serve as a bridge between those two worlds that he loves so very much and be worthy of a role that he fought so hard to attain. :) SO QUITE A LOT IS GOING ON OVER HERE!!!! but tbh once he isn't known as a massive disappointment to his friends and family, reides is pleased :-)

6. how have they changed in the last year? how about the last five years? answered here! :3c my babyboy who is a grown adult has grown up so much. LDKDFKGDF

7. there’s a magic item (or technological innovation, or special resource) made just for them—what is it? i can't even say i answered this here bc i honestly still have NO IDEA LMAO but i still really think it should serve as some sort of... land and sea link. i continue to have no idea whatsoever on what it is beyond that feeling but it's the thing that comes to mind, you know? maybe reides can talk into a shell and something fun happens. maybe he should get a magic conch shell like spongebob. technically his arcane focus is already this but i am just spitballing here LDFKSLGKDSG

Sunspot: what's your favorite costume or outfit your FO has ever worn? (If they don't have a canon physical appearance or they only have one canon outfit, make something up!)

Oh you know damn well what you were doing mentioning Maxi and outfits, huh- You know my weaknesses too well LMAO!

Maxi, having been around since the 90s, has had a great deal of outfits! I'd argue that his best outfit is his sc6 appearance.

It really fits his vibes perfectly! It'a a really good outfit all around. Also... you see that pink scarf? That was a gift from his girlfriend hehe!

... That being said, best does not mean favorite. I must begin by having that I tend to like older men (shout out to Eizen being 1000 years old), so it's to no one's surprise that my favorite outfit is sc5 Maxi, where Maxi is 45 years old.

But in all seriousness, it's a really nice outfit. I love how sleek it is and the red accent on the boots is just fantastic. Yeah yeah, he's old now, but I feel like sc5 Maxi is so cool because you can see how much he's grown from his past. I'm really proud of him for overcoming all of that. It's not easy and he still caries the weight of that trauma, but he's gotta so much better.

But also, uh... Wow. 😳. His jacket is a little cropped, so we get a nice view of his back too. And you see that chain on his side? Ash has one too! They match! A lot of this S/I's outfits are inspired by my Indian heritage, but she's very stylish and sleek, and has little matching bits with him.

I wholeheartedly believe sc5 Maxi is the most attractive Maxi. I get all ajsjajejwjeb whenever I see him!!! I love how stylish his outfit is and I love the fur and I wanna steal his jacket! He's beautiful.

Ofc he doesn't really age anymore, but older Maxi just has this level of confidence and style that younger Maxi doesn't, and that makes me quite flustered! He has this one other line where he chuckles a little and oh man-

He also takes care of a bunch of kids and uh. You see, I have a lot of fankids- I'm pretty weak for little ones, and seeing Supportive Uncle Maxi certainly didn't help.

Point is, sc5 Maxi has grown past a lot of things and he's come a long way. I'm so proud of his development.

... And he's also really hot in that outfit- He's not a pirate anymore, but he's still just as stylish!

Aperture: Has your perception of your FO changed as time went on? In what way?

I grew up with this series. One of my earliest memories is my uncle kicking my ass in sc3 with Tira. This series has been my everything since I was a very little Ash, and naturally I looked up to Xianghua as a young girl. Xianghua was always with Kilik, but I didn't really pay Maxi too much mind. Then I got a little older, and had a whole moment of wait he's kinda cute

So I devoted myself to learning how to play him. It's been years since then, and I'm not quite as young as I was then either. I thought he was just some silly childhood crush, but hey, it never went away. If anything, it just got worse and worse the older I got.

I grew up with Maxi, and even if he hasn't always been my guy and I spent a long time in denial of him being a real f/o, he's always been there with me. He's the childhood crush that never stopped growing.

Now that I've been shipping with Maxi for a while, he feels like a pillar of support for me to always be able to lean on. He's something very familiar and safe just since I know him so well. He's the f/o I always find my way back to no matter what. Kyohei may be my husband, Aqua may be my wife, but there's no words that can describe that connection I have with him. He's been a constant throughout my life, all the ups and downs.

Little Ash thought he was hot, nowadays Ash does too LMAO

But I also think I've grown more respect for him in recent years. His life hasn't been easy, but he kept going. He made things up with Ash after their relationship fell apart, he worked hard to better himself, and now he's back. His story isn't a happy one and he's never been a good man, but he's always tried. I love that.

I have never see it tbh! I should probably watch it at some point, I have only ever seen clips of it. pssst, rin jie!! it's been a while since i checked in and thus, i have arrived. how was your day today?? i hope it was nice as it should be every day, hehe :D

for me, my day was pretty alright!! i woke up today at 3 am and went for a walk (half-walk half-jog hdjkadksj) around my neighborhood and AND AND before you scold me for going out alone when it's dark (sorry not sorry, the intrusive thoughts won /j)— it was much more calming than i expected?? the night breeze was cool, there were street lamps so it wasn't completely dark, it was quiet since people were asleep, and i had some chill music playing. so, it's a 10/10 experience except for the fear that smth will ambush me from the bushes— but aight, i'm pretty sure i can fight it off!! wanderer will pinch the life out of my cheek for this if he knew /lh >:3c other than that, i got productive stuff done both school-wise and seelestia-wise which makes me vv fulfilled today. hoping for the best for us tmrw too <3

with zhongli it's definitely having a cup of tea before bed!! most days it's chamomile but whatever fits the atmosphere hehe also!! i like to shower or wash my hair before bed so he would help me with drying and taking care of my hair <3 i shed like a samoyed and it always amuses him

with al haitham it's usually just a relaxing winding down after a day of work!! he's reading his books on the bed (typical) most of the time and he'd subtly glance at me whenever i'm in his peripheral vision like "aren't you coming to bed" lol

4. How do you choose which fics to write?

god its so hard. its SO HARD TO PICK. so many things i want to write and never enough time waugh. but usually what happens is i get a few lines of something in my head and i go to just jot those down and uhh it usually turns into a fic from there. but sometimes if a fic idea is sparkly enough i'll sit down and start writing it anyway even without the inspiring words

13. Do you listen to music while you write?  If yes, what have you been listening to recently?

yes! if i dont have music playing i am far less productive with my writing but it has to be a specific vibe. lately i have been listening to niels nielson and MCC for writing, they have very nice quiet sounds (for the most part anyway, mister niels has a couple of songs that jumpscare me bc he just starts talking in the middle of them). but i also listen to autoheart while im writing, especially if i'm working on something with a lot of emotions to it

22. Do you title your fics before, during, or after the writing process?  How do you come up with titles?

well. usually what happens is i finish a fic. i edit it. i get ready to post it and then i go SHIT I NEED A TITLE

occasionally though a title comes to me before im finished writing something, which is always a nice surprise. with my ghost fics i always use ghost lyrics as titles teehee

43. Is there a trope or idea that you’d really like to write but haven’t yet?

hmmmm. hm that is a good question. well my favorite character dynamic is grumpy/grumpy or grumpy/dry humor and there arent many options for that with the ghoulies (although now that i think about it...dew and mountain would fit the grumpy/dry humor trope fairly well....hmmmm)

as for ideas, i think for the most part i have wips or notes of most of the ideas i want to write, but one of them that i am very excited to work on more but have been stuck with is my rain/swiss soulmate au

55. Have you noticed any patterns in your fics?  Words/expressions that appear a lot, themes, common settings, etc?

i feel positive that there are wordings and phrases i use a lot, but even after skimming through some of my fics i can't find any good examples right now

but definitely some common themes, one thing i really enjoy doing is implementing dynamics that are unusual for the characters, its fun coming up with circumstances and situations that change things up and take them out of their comfort zones

57. How conscious are you about including symbolism or foreshadowing in your fics?

oh i LOVE symbolism and foreshadowing, but honestly a lot of my fics aren't planned out enough for much intentional foreshadowing but i like to think that for some of the longer series i'm working on it'll work out to have some nice foreshadowing

74. Do you have a fic you wish got a bit more love?

🥺yess

my cumulus and swiss fic is one im really proud of with very tasty sweet mean cumulus and subby swiss

and then also this one with dew and swiss ft finger sucking a little bit o boot stuff (sub swiss again...i prommy i have some dom swiss content in the works)

78. What motivates you during the writing process?

one thing about me is i love completing things. i will add something to a list just to immediately cross it off and im a completionist in video games too, so just the feeling of having finished a fic is pretty motivating

another thing thing is sending snippets to my friends, thats always a nice little boost of serotonin and motivation bc i get some feedback and its always nice to hear someone say they're excited to see where a work is going

i also usually have ideas of things i want to happen later on, and if i wanna get to that i have to write my way to it so i basically am just dangling a carrot for myself lol

OH MY GOSH I'M GONNA GET TUMBLR FOR SERIOUSLY NOT PINGING ME WITH THE NOTIFICATION FOR THIS... this post is almost a week old and I could have spent all that time gushing with Faerie about your wonderfully adorable art style depicting one of the sillier scenes during this part of their journey! They've fallen into a fairly comfortable dynamic as a trio by this point, and seeing Erina so comfortably in her element and being unabashedly herself after the reveal and fallout with Robbie (ATA readers, if you know you know :3c) put the biggest smile on my face and it's only getting bigger!

Also your take on Erina's dress here... honestly compliments the given fact that she wants nothing more to embrace the girlier aspects of who she is and how she's grown since they all set out on this adventure together. She may have started out in clothing too big for her as Erin A.P. Speedwagon, but she's Erina Pendleton in the process of reaching her full bloom and just like her boys here, we are so, so, SO proud of her for reaching this point of self-confidence!

It's been a long time coming, and she has a ways to go, but our girl is getting there day by day and we're all gonna keep rooting for her!

My endless feelings about Erina aside, EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS IS SO GREAT! The colors! Their expressions! The sparkles! Jonathan's sweet smile adjacent to Dio's own smug, but playful amusement regarding their deliberate tea time! Erina settled between these two goofs and rubbing it in and then some with how much she's enjoying herself right now! Her raised pinkie! I'm so happy to hear you've enjoyed A Thousand Answers' ongoing story, as well as the other fics Faerie and I have written over the years... the brainrot really IS neverending, but it's been such a pleasant ride and we STILL have no intention of getting out of our designated clown car yet hehe

This was SUCH a pleasant surprise and really made my week <3
